COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP DAY 2
Second day of our camp… The wake up time was from 5:00am-6:00am. After having a coffee, we had a morning walk in the premise of Renewal Centre. All of us got ready by 8:00am and then reported at the college by 8:30am. From 8:30am-9:30am we had breakfast.
The day began by the presentation of newsletters by each group which were displayed on the college notice board and it summarized the events of the previous day. The events of the day were coordinated by our team Eleos. The first session of the day was talk by Mr. M. A. Siddhique, Professor, Department of Malayalam from 10:00am-12:00pm on ‘Manavikathayude swapnangalum manushyavijnanavum. The session was interesting and very informative and gave us insight into the many facts of humanity throughtout the ages.
From 12:00pm-1:00pm, we had a practice session for the cultural programs. From 1:00pm- 2:00pm we had lunch break.
The afternoon session of the day was handled by Ms. Roshni G. S, Beat Forest Officer, Govt. Licensed Snake Rescuer, RRT, Paruthipalli, Range Forest Officer Trivandrum from 2:00pm-4:00pm on the topic ‘Forest and Wildlife Protection, Wild Fauna Snake Awareness and Rescue’. She gave us a great overview of the various problems and provisions associated with wildlife conservation. She also shared her experiences with us and the session was very informative. We gave our feedbacks at the end of the session. After the session, we had a tea break from 4:00pm-4:15pm.
The day ended with the screening of the movie ‘Sudani from Nigeria’ which delineated the subtle human emotions and it was accompanied by an interactive session and discussion. After the dinner at 7:45pm we had a campus walk ‘Enjoy the Breeze’ to explore the Mar Ivanios Vidya Nagar.
By 10:00pm we reached girideepam and after that we engaged in practice sessions for the cultural programs. The second of our camp also went well with great support and coordination of the members of team Eleos.
