COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP DAY 1

December 12, 2022

           First day of our community living camp. The events of the first day were organised by team Ikshana. The day began with registration at 9am. Each and every duty of day 1 was assigned to the members of Ikshana.

            The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Y. Shibu, Assistant Commissioner of Excise, Excise Intelligence and Investigation Bureau, North Zone, Kozhikode at 9:30am in the presence of the principal Dr. K. Y. Benedict, union advisor, Dr. Joju John and camp coordinators Dr. Deepthi Elizabeth Maam and Nadhanine Sir. For the inaugural ceremony prayer song was by Raghi G, welcome- Vice chairperson, Aravind M, introductory speech- Dr. K. Y. Benedict, presidential speech- Chairperson, Aneesha A, inaugural address- Y. Shibu Sir, felicitation- Rev. Fr. Thomas Kayyalakkal, Dr. Joju John, Dr. Deepthi Elizabeth Mathew and vote of Thanks- General Secretary, Gayatri.

          Following the inauguration, at 10:00am Shibu Sir led the first session of the camp where he talked on the topic “Appalling Effects of Narcotics”. He went into the details of various addictions and ways to tackle addiction among students. The first half of the session ended at 11:00am and then we had a tea break. The second half of the session started at 11:15am. He also emphasized the role of teachers to provide awareness to the students regarding the adverse effects of using drugs. The session ended by 1:00pm and we gave our feedbacks at the end. From 1:00pm-2:00pm we had lunch break.

       The second session of  the day was headed by Mr. Jith, officer from the Kerala Fire and Safety Department and discussed about first aid and basic fire and safety instructions. It was truly an eye-opening session as students realized many of their false ideas. The session was from 2:00pm-4:00pm. After that we had a tea break.

      

       This was followed by a game of ‘ Bombing the city’ from 4:15pm-5:15pm in which Ms. Lekshmi of Team Eleos emerged as the winner. The concluding event of the day was ‘Ganamela’ by the College Music Band. At 7:00pm we had dinner and then headed off to girideepam for stay. We prepared Newsletter regarding the events of the day groupwise and also practiced for cultural programs before bed time at 10:00pm. Thus, our first day went well and perfect.

  INTERNSHIP DAY 39 August - 10 Towards the end, 39 th  day of internship phase 2. As usual, I reached the school by 8.30 AM and then signed the attendance register at HM’s office. After that I had  morning duty  in front of gate 13 from 8.45 AM to 9.15.  The day began with a prayer at 9.25 AM.  In the 1 st  hour , we had a  cake cutting  for the successful completion of our internship.  In the 2 nd  hour, we had  volunteered for a quiz competition  organized for high school students in the mini auditorium.  Today afternoon, all of us had lunch together.  In the 6 th  hour, I had class at 9J1. I revised the chapter chemical bonding  Then I met my concerned teacher for signing my record and filling my observation sheet.'  The classes end by 3.25 PM and after the National Anthem I signed the attendance register at HM’s office and left the school by 4.15 Pm             ...

  COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP DAY 2 December 13, 2022                                                  Second day of our camp… The wake up time was from 5:00am-6:00am. After having a coffee, we had a morning walk in the premise of Renewal Centre. All of us got ready by 8:00am and then reported at the college by 8:30am. From 8:30am-9:30am we had breakfast.              The day began by the presentation of newsletters by each group which were displayed on the college notice board and it summarized the events of the previous day.
